Nokia Lumia 610 vs Samsung Galaxy Ace

Nokia has introduced their latest Lumia range recently and then they have disclosed the Nokia City Lens. We will be talking about the Nokia  Lumia 610 and Samsung Galaxy Ace on this article. Both are competitively priced and our readers were always asking about which Phone to buy. To clear all confusions I am here with a detailed comparison review. Samsung Galaxy Ace is a Android Gingerbread powered Phone with almost same  processor and specs that Lumia 610 has to offer but Lumia 610 is a Windows 7.5 Mango device. Nokia Lumia 610 VS Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830:

1) Processor and Memory:

Both Lumia 610 and Galaxy Ace are running on similar 800Mhz processor on Snapdragon chipset with same Adreno 200 Graphic processor. Nokia has included an 8GB built in storage that Galaxy Ace Lacks. You will need to use an SD card to extend the Galaxy Ace storage and you have a limit of 32GB. Galaxy Ace features a 278 MB RAM which is better than Lumia 610 256MB. Instead of Less RAM I will give Lumia 610 a positive side for it.

2) Operating system and apps availability:

Samsung Galaxy Ace features Android Gingerbread and if you root your device then you can install the latest Jelly Bean as well on the other side Lumia 610 runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and Nokia has already made it clear that it will not get Windows 8. When it comes to apps availability the Windows Phone app market is pretty new and features just 100K games and apps. Google has already made Android much bigger and there are lots of free apps and games available for Galaxy Ace. Its clear that Galaxy Ace defeats Lumia 610 on this count.

3) Camera and Connectivity:

Both Lumia 610 and Galaxy Ace features similar Camera with exactly 5MP and same resolution. Both phones do not feature any secondary camera for video calling. Connectivity features are also pretty same, the only difference is that you can get a model of Lumia 610 with NFC.

4) Screen, Battery and Ergonomics:

Lumia 610 features a bigger higher resolution screen then Samsung Galaxy Ace and also features the Gorilla Glass protective layer on screen. It very clear the Lumia leads with the Screen and Camera quality. Lumia is also bigger and heavier than Galaxy Ace.  I am totally disappointed by the battery of Nokia Lumia, they should have included a 1800mAh battery. There are lots of battery optimization apps for Galaxy Ace that can make your phone battery last a day but Lumia will surely loose it by the evening and you will have to charge again.

Verdict:

I would keep me on the Galaxy Ace side, as an Android enthusiast and lover I would prefer Android Phone. I already know many people who went for Lumia 610 and after few weeks they get bored and sold it out for an Android Phone. Windows 7.5 Mango is pretty good to start if you have not tested Android, but there are lot less apps and customization so you will soon lose your interest. There are lots of IceCream Sandwich and Jelly Bean custom ROM available for Galaxy Ace beside that there is a long list of games and apps that it supports.

But apart from being Android fan if you want to try something new and better with some great experience then I must recommend you to go for Nokia Lumia 610 because it has some unique features which are not there in any android phone plus the touch is too good and you will feel the difference.
