The fist Windows 8 Tablet we got to see was Microsoft Surface, it has all the aura and features to kill iPad as shown in the advertising preview. Recently, Samsung has also launched their Ativ Tablet and we are regularly listening that Dell, Acer and Asus are creating their own Windows 8 Tablet version. With more a 20 high range and 100+ low budget Android Tablet and legendary Apple iPad, will Windows 8 tablet will pave their way to success?

I am here to raise the discussion and tell you what Windows 8 Tabs have to offer and what revolution they can bring. This will not be like Windows 8 VS iPad VS Android Jelly Bean Tablet article but I am going to discuss all major advantages and aspects of Windows 8 Tablets.

Does Windows 8 Tablets have some serious features to compete with Android/ iOS Tabs?

Android Tablets are available in a varied range of $100 to $1000 and boasts of 600K plus apps for their Tablet. iPad is also not much behind they have already launched the 3rd Generation iPad and boasts 225K app and games available. Right now, Windows Phone and Tablet market is young compared to Android and iOS platforms and features 100K apps. Windows 8 has also joined hands on Nokia and NAVTEQ to bring the latest maps with 3D buildings, Offline caching, Dynamic routing, Traffic updates, Turn by turn navigation and much more to compete with Google maps keeping aside the iOS maps that are handicapped for many users. Windows already eyed the Facebook Fan base and this resulted into a seamless integration of status updates, images, contacts, chat, events into Microsoft’s own section [people, Messaging, calendar]. The interface is very well designed and present some serious threat to Android and iOS.

The list does not ends here, there are many more features you will love to have. I just wanted to make clear that Microsoft has done enough research to create a cool OS that can bring some genuine features and serious competition in the market. We also came to know that Intel and Microsoft have partnered together to create a better mobile processor that will be powerful yet consuming low power. There will be more than 20 Windows 8 Tablet launched by 2013 first quarter. There are leaks that Acer and Asus will be launching some budget priced Windows Tablet that will range around $250.

What awesome with Windows 8 Tablet?

Hardware: Windows 8 Tablets are powered by Dual Core Atom 22760 “Clover Trail” chip for now. This processor features “burst mode” which can provide extra resources when required. It is like scalable CPU or Overclock on demand like system that will surely rank better in Benchmark and will outcome other Android and Apple tablets hardware. Beside that Windows 8 will be launched with few 3D screen Tablets. Window Tablet will be hybrid devices, you can either user touch screen to use it as a Tablet or attach Keyboard, mouse to use it as a desktop.

Software:  Xbox game support is the next big thing, as we know most of Android Tablets that are powerful are used for gaming while on move. Microsoft Windows Tablet will take it a way ahead with its XBOX live games on Tablets. Microsoft has already planned a seamless integration with Facebook as social media platform, Skydrive for cloud storage, Outlook.com for Contacts and mail sync. There will a whole new enterprise level apps as well for MS Exchange mail, Lotus, remote VPN, remote assistance and many more. I have already told you about the advanced GPS, Mobile Payment, Media streaming, Connectivity etc.

Definitely, this kind of hardware and Software support will give Windows 8 Tablet a great push and customer will love them. we would love to hear your comments.

    Its sure that there will be a lot of fight over price and app availability. It would be hard for Windows to take over now.

    I don’t think windows 8 tablet will affect the ipad or andriod based tablet that much.Same was said when andriod based tablet was launched and even after 3-4 years still the ipad is the most popular tablet.
