Smartphones have totally converted the way we communicate with friends and family. You can now video chat, text, mail, tweet, like while on move. Recently, a study revealed that Android is successfully capturing the market and its share has increased to 72%. Apple’s iOS still is at 15%. Android not only effected the phone market in European and US markets but also stood as an strong competitor in developing market. Companies like Samsung, LG, HTC and Motorola has churned much cream out this revolution. In India, there are lots of Android variants available from as low as Rs 4K to as high as 50K. We are here to talk about the best phone below Rs 15000. I will be discussing some phones that I found to have good specs and build quality.
Sony Xperia Tipo Dual :
Sony Xperia Tipo Dual is a variant of Xperia Tipo, both phones were launched to lieu customers, who were searching for a dual sim Android Phone with decent features and build quality. The specs are pretty simple like 800Mhz Scorpion processor with Adreno 200 GPU. 3.2 inch scratch resistant screen, 3.2 MP camera, 1500 mAH battery. There is no front camera and flash. Sony has high end build quality, Good earphones. You will also get the taste of Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich. You will miss some things like big screen, Camera Flash etc. But still Xperia Tipo Dual is eye catching.
HTC Desire C :
HTC Desire C disappoints with its Processor specs but has some other great features. Desire C is running Android 4.0 ICS on 600Mhz processor, it has a 3.5 inch screen with 5MP camera. It has a sturdy build and HTC Sense 4.0 UI. One of the cheapest option for people who are HTC fans and want to try latest UI with Android ICS. It’s a single sim phone and works pretty well with normal browsing and gaming. Battery backup is decent with 1230mAh battery. I would suggest either going for Xperia Tipo Dual or invest some more money to purchase Samsung Galaxy S Duos.
Sony Xperia U :
Sony is trying their every bit to compete with the market leader Samsung. They have released multiple phones in different price segment to attract customers. Sony Xperia U is a Android ICS and 1Ghz Dual core powered Phones. It has lots of attracting features like 5MP camera, Mali-400MP GPU, Sony Mobile Bravia engine, scratch resistant screen. It has all attractive features to consider it one of the best phone below Rs 15000 price range. If you do not want Dual sim then you would definitely love Xperia U, it has some high end features packed in it. The build quality is good, but still I will suggest to put in some money and go for Sony Xperia J. Do not go for Xperia Miro that is priced at same range and also boosts to get a Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update very soon.
Micromax Canvas 2 A110 :
Micromax are doing well with their Android Phones and Tablets. They have lots of variants in different price range. Although, the starting phones were of very low quality but Micromax is slowly elevating their product quality and standards. Micromax Canvas 2 features a 1Ghz Dual Core Processor and Dual Sim capability. There are some other attractive features like 5inch LCD display that is FWVGA capable, 8MP camera with Dual flash, 0.3MP front camera for video calling. The list does not ends up here, you will get latest Android 4.0.3 IceCream Sandwich, 512 MB RAM and 2GB onboard storage, all that for Rs 10K makes it look good. There are some issues with firmware and light sensors as reported by many users. The UI is notorious, Micromax seriously lacks good developers. UI is very important for a Android phone and thus Samsung and HTC concentrate professionally in developing UI like TouchWiz and HTC sense UI. Canvas 2 A110 is priced at Rs 10400.
Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802 :
On this list Samsung cannot miss its place, they are the Android revolutionary and currently the market leader in Android devices. Samsung has an Android device for every price and budget. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos is targeted to people who are looking dual sim phone with Android and decent specs. Samsung has packed in a 832 Mhz processor to handle the UI and multi-tasking an Adreno 200 GPU compliments its performance. 512 MB RAM and 3GB storage is decent for handling apps and files. 3.5 inch screen with HVGA capability is good for watching videos and moderate gaming. A 5MP camera to click photos and record videos but you will miss Led flash, video calling and HD recording. 1300 mAH battery is good for handling the phone and networking for at least 6 hours. You will be getting connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G HSDPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth. Galaxy Ace duos is already tested by millions of users and you can get positive response everywhere.
Geeky Gyaan Verdict :
Lastly, I would suggest all dual Sim Android Phone seekers to select a phone that has Dual Sim Active, enough RAM and Internal storage are essential, big battery. This will make your phone better for long uses and you will never be disappointed by the performance. We are yet to see some real good Dual sim Phones like Samsung Galaxy SIII Duos that will have all the capability of a high end device with dual sim functionality. There will some Tablet as well that will boost of their Dual network functionality.
